ABOUT LAUREN GENNARDO
My name is Lauren Gennardo, and I am a Designer based in Manhattan, New York. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Design and Minor in History of Art, in addition to years of Industry experience, I have acquired a multifaceted Design skill set with working knowledge in both Women’s and Menswear. My experience in woven and stretch construction, swimwear, knitwear, corsetry, as well as proficiency in digital design programs has shaped my design aesthetic both creatively and professionally.

As a designer at Onia, I collaborate with the Design Director to simultaneously curate several collections across varying Women's and Menswear brands; from concept to production. Using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, I conceptualize and sketch original designs across many categories including Womenswear, Menswear, Swimwear, Intimate Apparel, Activewear, Wovens, and Knitwear
I work cross-functionally with Creative Directors, Print Designers, Technical Designers, the Production Team, and Sales Team throughout the entire Design Process.

INTIMATE APPAREL INTERN
As an intern at Dreamwear, I assisted Designers with recoloring CADs, sketching, and organizing the Color Library. I
Curated an Internship Conclusion Project that consisted of designing a capsule collection referencing best selling styles and prints and presented it to the entire Design Team.

ATELIER INTERN
As an intern at Zac Posen, I worked hands on in the Atelier, completing tasks such as copying patterns and organizing swatch books. I sourced materials and trim in the Garment District, and and picked up fabric orders from local vendors as necessary for upcoming collections.

NYFW DRESSER
During NYFW, I assisted backstage at the Nicole Miller Spring 2020 Fashion Show. As a dresser, I worked closely with the Design Team and Stylists to prepare models before they headed down the runway.
